In 2014, Erica Lee earned a Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance from Seattle Pacific University. She received her classical piano instruction from Dr. Myrna Capp. Drawing upon the experience of Dr. Capp, she spent her senior year of college studying the traditions and history of Africa. Her studies culminated in an hour long recital of African and African American music.
Following graduation, Erica opened up her private piano studio as well as teaching group piano lessons through the Snohomish County Music Project. Her students included a wide range of ages, and students with both typical and non-typical development. While teaching, Erica served on the board of the Edmonds Music Teachers Association (a local chapter of the National Music Teachers Association), and coordinated communications and public relations for the organization. In 2016, Erica rebuilt the Edmonds Music Teachers Association website.
Currently, Erica balances the responsibilities of earning her M.A. in Arts Administration, working as a part-time program administrator for the Snohomish County Music Project (www.scmusicproject.org), and freelancing as a web design and social media consultant for individuals with small business needs.
